The word MORI has two essential translations.
In Japanese it means forest, in Latin, mortality.
Mori designs and produces clothing based on values that respect the environment, and people involved. Sustainability is in the core of all material choices, and transparency guides the supply chains.
MATERIALS & PRODUCTION
Mori produces small series in Estonia, in addition to special pieces made in Finland. The clothes are made of variety of organic, natural, and recycled fabrics such as GOTS certified organic cotton from Turkey and textile industry leftover fabrics. The wool fabrics for the jackets are woven in Europe.
T-shirts and tote bags are 100% recycled and made by Finnish Pure Waste Textiles. Some of the prints are printed by ourselves and some in a print in Helsinki.
Mori Collective’s jewelry is made from birch, and they are laser cut and assembled in Helsinki.
