Description
The Biitti shirt made of organic cotton tricot has men's sizing. The long-sleeved shirt has a printed Unikko flower on the front and elastic on the round neckline.
Maija Isola created the Unikko pattern, an international icon of pattern design, in 1964. The founder of Marimekko, Armi Ratia, thought that it was not possible to capture the true essence of flowers in a pattern. Because of this, Marimekko's collections previously did not include flowers. Maija Isola designed the Unikko pattern as an abstract interpretation rather than a photorealistic reproduction of the flower theme. Today, Unikko is a strong symbol of joy and creativity and an important part of Marimekko's design identity.
