Lyocell is a viscose-like regenerated cellulose fibre but it is more ecological to produce than viscose. The production process of Lyocell takes less energy and does not require the same toxic chemicals that are used as solvents in the production of viscose. Lyocell production can be done in a closed-loop system, which means that almost all of the chemicals used can be recovered and reused.
