Description
The Baby Gratha shoulder bag is made of padded leather with a quilted Kivet pattern. The bag has an adjustable and removable shoulder strap made of recycled polyamide with a jacquard-woven Unikko pattern. The bag closes with a zipper. The inside is lined and there is a small zipped pocket.
Maija Isola composed the Kivet pattern in 1956 from circles she cut out of colored paper with scissors. The shape of the patterns probably originates from the large jagged-edged stones cleared by hand from the plot of the artist's studio building.
