Everyday Design

"Perfection is boring. Design belongs to all homes - part of our wonderfully unpredictable everyday life." Everyday Design makes room for happiness by offering timeless, durable, playful decoration products suitable for all homes. Behind the products is the Finnish Everyday Design Oy, a company run by a mother and daughter.

Everyday Design

CEO Helena Mattila founded the company in 1995, with the goal of making better products than what was available on the market at the time. Helena's first product was a house lamp that was inspired by a milk can. The lamp was selected for the International Design Year Book and was resold on the Swedish market.

Since then, her daughter Saara Sorri has become Helena's partner and Everyday Design's operational manager, who brings drive and commercial know-how to the company. Helena still works in product development and as a designer.

"All our products are functional and make everyday life easier, minimalist and timeless. They find their place in any home, and despite their practicality, they are not meant to be boring. Decoration can bring joy to everyday life."

The most famous of the products are the minimalist recycling racks, but the product selection also includes serving trolleys, set tables, leather products and delightful interior and gift items. Retailers of products mainly manufactured in Finland can be found from Utsjoki to South Korea. In addition, the Everyday Design online store serves all over the world.
