Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi graduated as a ceramicist in the 1950s. The young ceramicist was asked to design fabrics for Marimekko. In Vuokko's hands, the patterns and patterns of the fabrics were transformed into silhouettes of a new style. Vuokko brought big lines, colors, snaps and zippers to the clothes – she removed everything unnecessary and constricting, with the idea of freeing women to move and live! The clothes had to be comfortable to wear and durable.
