Description
The cloudberry is the most sought-after treasure of our northern marshes; it is one of the most valuable wild berries in Finland and is often called "the gold of the marsh." The significance of the cloudberry to Finns is evidenced by the numerous names it has, and its image even adorns the Finnish 2-euro coin. The orange cloudberry is a fragrant and very healthy, vitamin C-rich delicacy that doesn't grow just anywhere – cloudberry marshes are often difficult to traverse and far from civilization. On the other hand, persistence is rewarded: you might stumble upon golden-glistening mounds of cloudberries as far as the eye can see, and "cloudberry fever" can completely sweep you away! Many have dreamed of marshes shimmering in yellow-orange. In the nightless night, as the cool mist descends and the marsh Labrador tea is in bloom, those dreams come true. The Hillasuo (Cloudberry Marsh) collection consists of luscious cloudberries, their dark green leaves, and water droplets condensed on the berries. It draws inspiration from early morning treks to the marsh and berry clusters dampened by morning dew.
The jewelry comes with an elegant jewelry box, and the story above can also be found on the inside lid of the jewelry box.
