Description
The Pelata skirt has a relaxed fit, an A-line cut, and the Piccolo pattern, which is printed in Helsinki. The miniskirt has tie strings and elastic shirring at the waist, as well as side seam pockets.
The product is made of a firm cotton fabric containing 80% organic cotton and 20% recycled cotton.
In her very first year at Marimekko in 1953, Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi created Piccolo, a striped fabric painted with free brushstrokes. Three years later, a shirt made from the fabric, called Jokapoika, appeared in shops and on the streets – apparently for good.
