Description

The domestically handcrafted enameled blue-gray Lehti tea strainer is a durable and easy-to-use tool for brewing tea. An absolute favorite of many!

Brewing good tea is easy!
It doesn't take much to brew a good tea; just fresh water, high-quality tea and a decent tea strainer.

Proceed as follows:

Place the Lehti tea strainer with collars on top of the teapot or mug. Dispense loose tea leaves into Sihtiosa and pour hot water over the leaves. After the brewing time, remove the tea strainer with collars and place the tea leaves still in the strainer on top of another cup or small bowl to dry; after drying, the tea leaves are easy to put into an eco container.

Why is our tea strainer the best according to so many?

  • The mouth opening of the tea strainer is wide, so dispensing the tea leaves is easy
  • The mesh of the sieve is very dense, so even the smallest tea leaves cannot get through it and make the tea water taste bitter.
  • The sieve is so spacious that the tea leaves can open and the flavor is distributed evenly. Then you brew a cup or a pan.
  • The collar of the tea strainer makes it easy to lift the sieve off the mug or pan without burning your fingers
  • The base of the collar of the tea strainer has a natural cork surface that insulates the conduction of heat: The collar of the tea strainer does not get hot, and the tea water does not cool down. The collar is also comfortable to place on top of a mug or pan, as it does not rattle
  • Cleaning the tea strainer is easy! A rinse is enough for the collar and the filter part can be washed in the dishwasher, as it is made of very sticky stainless steel
  • But above all, our tea strainer is beautiful
  • After all, the visuals are part of the tea pleasure! The collar of the tea strainer is individually enameled by hand in our own studio in Mikkeli Kenkävero, and each tea strainer is unique even if they are made according to the same model.

Our tea strainer was designed by Pauliina Rundgren - a passionate tea lover - so the design has taken into account everything that is essential and makes the tea time even more enjoyable.

Brew your tea in the right temperature water:

Black tea: Water temperature 90-100 degrees. Stewing time 3-4 minutes
Green tea: Water temperature 80 degrees. Brewing time 2 minutes
White tea: Water temperature 70-80 degrees. Brewing time 2-3 minutes
Oolong tea: Water temperature 80-100 degrees. Brewing time 2-4 minutes
Puer tea: Water temperature 90-100 degrees. Brewing time 2-4 minutes
Boils: Water temperature 100 degrees. Brewing time 5-8 minutes
Check the water temperature and brewing time on the tea jar.

Did you know that you can brew many high-quality teas a couple of times, so you should leave them to dry in a sieve and use them for a new brew! These are mainly white, green and oolong teas.
