KARHU WAS FOUNDED IN 1916

Ab sportartiklar Oy establishes a small workshop in the center of Helsinki, where locally produced birch is transformed into the first products: spears, skis and discs. Running shoes have also been developed and put on the feet of the first "flying Finns", Hannes Kolehmainen and Ville Ritola.
