Kyrö Original Beanie

The material of the hats is 100% wool from Finnish sheep. The wool comes from Finnish sheep farms and is spun and washed in Finland. The yarns are dyed by hand at Myssy's headquarters.

All our products are knitted by local retired ladies, or Myssymummoi. You can check who knitted it on your hat and thus know the story of its maker!

Kyrö Original is very tight at first, but stretches after a little use. The edge can be folded once or twice. Please note that Myssy is tighter when folded twice.

Product size M / One Size fits most of our customers (54cm-59cm). Wool is a flexible material, thanks to which Myssy adapts to the size of its wearer's head in a few weeks.

As a new Myssy, she must be a bit snappy.

However, the hats are unique; even though every Beanie has a size classification table, not all Beanies are the same size, but there may be slight variations.

The hat products are knitted from untreated organic wool from Finnish sheep, which is hand-dyed as yarn. Wool stores its own fat, lanolin, thanks to which it naturally repels moisture and moves it away from the skin. As a fiber, wool is self-cleaning and does not necessarily need to be washed at all. Each wash removes its natural fat from the wool.

The best way to maintain Myssytuote is to ventilate outside with moist air. Moisture causes the wool fiber to swell and remove dirt and odor from itself. However, if the product gets stained or stretches out of shape, you can resort to gentle hand washing or the wool program in the washing machine. When washing by hand, all rubbing should be avoided, as the cotton wool felt very easily. Stretch the Myssytuote wet to its original dimensions and dry horizontally.

Note! The product cannot be washed in a standard 30 degree delicate washing program. Only the wool washing program heats the water slowly enough to prevent the product from felting.
