Description

Design inspired by Finnish nature
The secret of the walleye necklace's impressive look is in the graphics and the fresh yellow color, which reminds of the exotic appearance of its prototype. This necklace is suitable for casual everyday life and sweetly accessorizes any outfit!

What kind of bird is the kingfisher?
Kuhankeittäjä is an exotic-looking, starling-sized sparrow bird that nests in bright coastal forests in southern Finland. The focus of the strain is southeast and it is indeed the provincial bird of South Savo. You will be lucky if you see the Walleye in the wild as it is very shy, endangered and tamed.

The jewelry has been awarded the Design from Finland and Key flag marks.

Material & Manufacture

Materials: enamel and printed birch plywood
Necklace chain: nickel-free and stainless jewelry metal.

The pendant part of the necklace is made of domestic plywood. The patterns of the plywood part are printed with odorless and ecological printing ink and protected with a special coating.

The round detail between the chain and the pendant is carefully handcrafted in our own studio in Mikkeli. Enameling is a very old craft technique and we are one of the few skilled in it in Finland.

Care instructions

The chain may darken over time due to chemicals, so put the jewelry on your neck only after spraying hairspray or perfume.

The surface is extremely resistant to mechanical abrasion, moisture and UV rays. Remember, however, that the wood material cannot withstand being stained.
