Vihne Unikko Placement Kioski t-shirt

The Vihne t-shirt is made of organic cotton jersey and has a unisex fit. The t-shirt has a ribbed round neckline and a large Unikko flower printed on the front, surrounded by printed text. The Marimekko logo is printed on the back neckline.

Maija Isola created the Unikko pattern, an international icon of pattern design, in 1964. Marimekko founder Armi Ratia thought that it was not possible to capture the true essence of flowers in a pattern. This is why Marimekko's collections did not previously include flowers. Maija Isola designed the Unikko pattern as an abstract interpretation rather than a photorealistic version of the floral theme. Today, the Unikko is a strong symbol of joy and creativity and an important part of Marimekko's design identity.
