Tuohi design's bow tie is handmade in Joensuu for the individual wearer. You won't find another similar bow, because the countless colors and patterns of the bow guarantee a unique accessory.

The fresh bow is suitable for the stylish and environmentally conscious wearer. The timeless design language of the bow has maintained its popularity year after year, and the bow is always a stylish choice for both large and small parties. Tuohi is a durable material, after all, traditional tuohi containers and boxes have lasted from father to son.

Please note that no dyes are used in the products and the shade of the accessories varies depending on the color of the ash used in them. Since the products are made by hand from start to finish, the product you order is not exactly the same as in the picture.

Tuohi design bows are handmade in Joensuu from Finnish birch bark. The birch used in the products is a surplus from the wood industry, and no trees have been cut down to obtain the birch. In the production of the products, birches from felled yard trees and plots felled from the Joensuu region are used, depending on availability. The adjustable ribbon of the bows is sewn in Joensuu from soft linen fabric.

Ash is a biodegradable material that can be disposed of by composting or used, for example, as kindling for a fireplace. Tuohi design products are not dyed or treated with substances harmful to the environment, which is why they are a safe option for the user.

Tuohi design accessories come from PEFC-certified forests and our products are designed and manufactured in Joensuu. The surface of tuohia accessories is treated with vegetable oil, which makes their surface silky.
Care instructions

Direct sunlight may cause discoloration of the product. We recommend storing the product in its sales packaging, protected from direct sunlight.

If the item gets scratched, you can try to fade the scratch by gently wiping it with, for example, a leathery piece of cloth moistened with cooking oil.
