Pihla Tuohi earrings

The story of Pihla tuohikoruje began decades ago along the Pielisjoki River in Utra, Joensuu, where the birch of this unique batch of earrings comes from.

The design of the earrings was inspired by the special coloring of the birch tree, which reminded us of fall and autumn leaves. The darker color on the surface of the birch is from the nila layer of the birch, which had firmly stuck to the tree during the winter. The Nila left on the surface of the tree is green when fresh and turns into a beautiful red-brown over time.

Please note that no dyes are used in the products and the shade of the accessories varies depending on the color of the ash used in them. Since the products are made by hand from start to finish, the product you order is not exactly the same as in the picture.
