The product's unique color has been achieved with an innovative dyeing technique that creates a worn effect in the material. Each product has its own individual appearance, in which case there may be slight color differences between the products.

Unikko, symbolizing creativity and courage, was born at a time when Marimekko's design world did not include flowers. However, Maija Isola was interested in the flower theme, and she decided to design a whole series of new kinds of strong flower patterns.
