Description

Flower earrings inspired by flowers at Ihana Medini. The jewelry has two flower stems that are connected to each other by means of a chain.

The jewelry was inspired by my intoxicatingly beautiful Medinilla houseplant, which, despite my hard care efforts, died dramatically. I was able to draw a flower as a memory, before the last flower stalk withered.

The name I never Promised you a rose garden was chosen for these earrings in a name competition. The name clearly stood out from the other suggestions and caught my attention; I got interested in it and started to investigate the purpose. The statement in question can be found, among other things, in Lynn Anderson's song of the same name; the saying means that the narrator "didn't promise that everything would be easy" The perfect name for these flowers created during the corona

Material & Manufacture

The jewelry is made of Finnish birch plywood and is printed on both sides. They are laser cut in Alppila, assembled either at our studio in Punavuori, Helsinki or at my subcontractor in Pispala, Tampere.
