Äkräs Nappi Tuohi earrings

Äkräs stud earrings are made by bending domestic birch bark. The earrings are also suitable for allergy sufferers, as the metal parts are made of allergy-friendly surgical steel (304).

The birch used in the products is a surplus from the wood industry, and no trees have been cut down to obtain the birch. In the production of the products, birches from felled yard trees and plots felled from the Joensuu region are used, depending on availability.

Tuohi is a biodegradable material that you can dispose of by composting or use, for example, as kindling for a fireplace. Tuohi design products are not dyed or treated with substances harmful to the environment, which is why they are a safe option for the user.

Direct sunlight may cause discoloration of the product. We recommend storing the product in its sales packaging, protected from direct sunlight.

If the item gets scratched, you can try to fade the scratch by gently wiping it with, for example, a leathery piece of cloth moistened with cooking oil.
