Tuohi design's Ulpukka tuohi earrings are a tribute to our wonderful lake nature. The earrings combine Finnish birch bark with delicate freshwater pearls and durable surgical steel.

Please note that dyes are not used in birch jewelry and the tone of the jewelry varies depending on the color of the birch used in it. Since the products are made by hand from start to finish, the product you order is not exactly the same as in the picture.
Material & Manufacture

Ulpukka tuohi earrings by Tuohi design are made by bending domestic birch bark and freshwater pearl. The earrings are also suitable for people with allergies, as the metal parts are made of allergy-friendly surgical steel (304).

The birch used in the products is a surplus from the wood industry, and no trees have been cut down to obtain the birch. In the production of the products, birches from felled yard trees and plots felled from the Joensuu region are used, depending on availability.

Tuohi is a biodegradable material that you can dispose of by composting or use, for example, as kindling for a fireplace. Tuohi design products are not dyed or treated with substances harmful to the environment, which is why they are a safe option for the user.
Care instructions

Direct sunlight may cause discoloration of the product. We recommend storing the product in its sales packaging, protected from direct sunlight.

After decommissioning, recycle the metal parts and dispose of them with organic waste or use them as sauna kindling.
